Choir Auditions
Maranatha Touring Choir Auditions occur after the
first rehearsal of the choir year (the first Saturday in
January) and after each subsequent rehearsal during the month.
Prospective members need to come to the practices which
starting at 9:00am and end at 12:00pm. We meet at the
Maranatha Music Ministries Building,
located at 1915 Charles Street, in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
During this time most of the college members are still on
their Christmas break and in the area to attend the first
couple of practices. This gives new and prospective members the
opportunity to meet most of the other choir members and to get
a feel for what to expect.
There is an initial $125 fee due at the audition, which is
applied towards the members $475 financial choir obligation.
This $475 obligation covers all expenses for the year
including, music, T-shirts, dresses, ties, drama costume,
pictures, refreshments, and tour related expenses. After the
initial $125 payment, the remaining $350 obligation breaks down
to $70 per month, for the remaining five months leading up to
the July tour. The financial obligation can be paid in full at
anytime prior to the first Saturday in June, when the full
amount is due.
Throughout the touring season, we will have opportunities
for fund raising, to assist members with satisfying their
financial obligation. Many of the members are able to meet
their entire financial obligation through the fundraising
opportunities.
